I have a spare ZF5 and T-case out of my '89 parts truck and I am wondering if they will work as a SPARE for the '94 in my signature, or if I should just sell them.

Thanks!!

Out of the '89 (F250 7.3 4x4 "D44HD" with single cardan front driveshaft)
ZF S5-42 (Germany)
ZF List # 1307 050 043
Serial # 1083102
Ford # E8TA-7003-ALA
Ratio 4.14-0.77
Build Date 072188
T-case: BW 13-56-065-910

In my '94 (F350 7.3 4x4 D60 with double cardan front driveshaft)
ZF S5-42 (USA)
ZF List # 1307 050 081
Serial # 8443840
Ford # F2TA-7003-SA
Ratio 4.14-0.77
Build Date 92493
T-case: BW 13-56-039-908

Yes, that will work as a spare. I would keep it, because if you are like me, as soon as you sell it you will need it. :dunno

Yes both will work just fine!

However if you are utilizing the PTO of the tcase, you won't be able to with the F250 case.

Does anyone know if the Borg Warner 13-56-065-910 will work in the following Gasser?

1995 F-250 4X4 351 V8, regular cab, AUTO transmission, manual shift transfer case, no PTO.

1995 F-250 4X4 351 V8, regular cab, AUTO transmission, manual shift transfer case, no PTO.

Lets make this really simple

All Manual 1356's are essentially the same, However a caveat should be brought up..

Bronco 1356 has a FIXED rear yoke not a slip yoke style

F 150 1356 is a slip yoke with no PTO

F 250 1356 is a slip yoke with no PTO

F 350 1356 is a slip yoke WITH PTO provision

Thus any 1356 can be swapped in behind any FORD transmission AUTO or STD in our years of trucks, so long as tail shaft of your tcase matches, EG slip yoke to Slip Yoke or Fixed to Fixed, be it a Gasser or diesel won't matter they are all interchangeable.

Just make sure to utilize shifter linkage for appropriate transmission.

On a side note all 1356 cases are magnesium, however a caveat, the front portion with PTO provision on the F350's is Aluminum...just an FYI

I don't know nothing about the stupid electro shift stuff...except I don't wanna know..and I won't have one!

Hope this helps

Al
