Zf noise

In my truck, the noise of the engine inside of the cab is much louder when I am in first and second gear, and the other three are much quieter. This is even true if I am completely stopped and just putting it through the gears as a noise test. Is it the same for you guys? It's been that way forever

Do you have a single mass fly wheel?
I read that the zf5 gets a little louder with the single mass fly wheel before I installed mine when replacing the clutch but didn't think much of it. Now if I had it to do over against I would have just replaced the dual mass and spent the money cause it's ridiculously grumpy sounding at lower rpm. It works fine just to much noise for me.

That I do not know, it's had the same flywheel as when we bought the truck in 2004
