Does anyone have the part number for the o ring for the drain plug? My fill plug has a 1/8'' thick metal washer but there is none on the drain plug. Previous owner must have lost it and it drips slightly. Plug is 22mm x 1.50mm. Thanks

As a temporary fix, you could just switch the two plugs. Put the one with the washer on the bottom. It's been a while, but I don't remember an o ring on the drain plug, just a washer like on the fill plug.

That is exactly what I did and i put a rubber o ring on the fill plug temporarily. But I still need the washer. Does anyone have one they want to part with?

Sounds like it's not supposed to have a washer.
But you could just go to the parts store and find a copper seal that matches up.

The ZF part number is 073000863701 according to ZF themselves. Their phone number is 847-478-6868 in Chicago Il. It is a $2 part.
Ford number for drain plug and seal is E9TZ-7A010-A is discontinued and is a $50 part.

Does anybody have a drain plug out that could measure the thread size?

What I've got is this trans never had the normal plug when I got it. Had a rubber expansion plug. Lol well I walked out yesterday to check the mail, and appears to have leaked my fluid out. So I'm thinking about tapping it with a pipe thread, and just use a plug.
I believe the threads are gone. Or I would just swap it with the fill plug.

See my first post It is 22mmX1.50. It is the same as the fill plug. I have read that some were 22mm x 1.75

Ha completely missed that.
Thanks.

Okay just so anyone knows.
A 3/4X14 NPT tap is just the right size to be able to do this.
There was enough thread for me to just put the fill plug in the drain hole, but I didn't trust it. So I went ahead with tapping and put in a 3/4 npt pipe plug.

I actually put in a nearer correct fluid this time, instead of the cheapie super tech ATF. LOL
I may pop the shifter to dump in the last half quart I have left over.
