My truck lately has been draining fuel back and will not start after 6 hours. Does anyone know what is supposed to prevent the fuel from draining back in the fuel system? I have not dug into the issue too much. Any input would be appreciated thanks.

You have an air/fuel leak somewhere in the system. The most common site is one or more of the injector fuel return lines, caps, or o-rings. Look for any area in the fuel system that is wet with diesel fuel. If it is wet, it is leaking. It could be anywhere from the lines runing to and from the tanks all the way to the IP. Fix the leak and you'll fix the problem.
