Would you feel comfortable putting clean D2 in your engine crankcase? if not are you comfortable running it as fuel?

So does anyone run a magnet in the fuel when polishing to pull out soluble iron? Another thing I would use for any alternative fuel of unknown origin , particularly recycled stuff is a ph meter. Just a sample of your batch partitioned with water and you can quickly tell if the ph is in range. I have a friend who ran basic wvo in a 01 powerstroke and killed the injectors in a couple hundred miles of burning it The supplier had forgotten to mention they had used NaOH to clean the fryer.

I have magnets on my fine filtration rig to catch any ferrous metals. I also sample settled batches with a magnetic grabber and smear it on a shop towel to check for metals.
