Why the hate for Teflon tape?

I dont get it.......anything used on the threads incorrectly will get to places you dont want it. Also doesnt matter what you use on the threads, when you remove the part, there will be stuff to clean out of the threads.

but I guess if the internet says its bad, it must be.

There are...thread sealant/lubricants designed to dissolve in fuel and NOT contaminate the system If you care to investigate this further, leaving the taper of the thread to do it's job SEAL.

Knowing what is the right material and for what application is not a hit or miss guesstimate gee will this work job it's one of education and preparation and planning.

That is what brings success in sealing!

That stuff that disolves in fuel sounds interesting, I will have to look that up
