Does anyone have an idea what possible could cause white smoke and rough idle on cold start. Just recently started about 2k miles ago and seems worse little by little. Smokes for 20 sec. then cleans up, also cleans up and idle smooths out if I give her a little throttle. Injectors? cp3? turbo seal? doesn't use oil, not "making oil". Doesn't smoke after warmup. :dunno

white smoke=raw unburnt fuel.
heater grid possibly not working.
don't worry about it until wintertime. just raise the warm up idle with your foot so the cylinder temps heat up sooner.

always looking for an excuse to go parts shopping. bad parts = better new parts :D

grid heater has never come on in 60 deg plus weather. smoke just started last month or so is why I question some of the fuel delivery components. truck has fairly new injectors in for about 12k, but my I wonder if low rail pressure could cause ineficient combustion and still be high enough for the truck to run good when warm?
