When the filter was changed did he remove the housing to clean it? The lines could be leaking there, it happened to me. The lift pump could be bad, just check for the pulse when its running. Check the lines coming out of the sending unit, they are very common to rust out and leak. My truck was a 3 day struggle to fix all the fuel issues, it would run fine but as soon as you throttled hard it would sempy the filter housing and starve out. Another common problem is the fuel pump relay on the firewall going bad, they are pretty cheap and easy to test.

Whit,

what year is it? find that out an I can tell you some common places to look.
If it will run and idle, open the drain valve and if it dies, the lift pump isn't working.
The lift pump is controlled via an oil pressure switch located behind the driver side head.
Check volume of lift pump, I will have to go look up flow rate to be precise.
If it is electronic, PMD is the first culprit, shut off solenoid is the second.
Running and stalling is usually a PMD issue.
email me if you need a faster response.
