Which tranny?

I was wondering which transmission is commonly found in a 1988 f-150 and what it is worth, I ask because I think I found a donor truck for my body panel needs and am trying to price parts to see what the part value will be. Just lookin for a ballpark figure, it'll have a motor but i'm not sure which one as of yet.

most likely its the metric overdrive unit they used, or it is a c-6 they cams with both tranny's that year look on the gear selector and see id it had the PRNOD21 or PRND21 that will tell you

The guy says the only thing wrong with this truck is something with the injectors...

Whatever, he wants 350 for the whole truck. Yeah, 350, I'm just wondering what I can get for parts once I take the goodies I want off it. I figure I can probably get the fuel system working but I might get lazy and sell it not runnin.

the motors are worth about $200 - $250 here and a 2wd tranny is atleast $100 - $150 a good 8.8 rear is $150

that's kinda what I was thinkin, hell I might break even by the time I fuel my roommates winch truck for 600 mile round trip, haha
