whats a wastegate ??????

Can someone please explain to me what a wastegate is.... please?

Something to adjust turbo pressure ??

It's basically a valve that bleeds off excess boost pressure at higher RPM's. Allows for a bigger turbo making more boost at low RPM's to get you off the line but keeps you from removing the heads off your truck by building up too much boost at high RPM's.

actually a waste gate is on the exhaust side and when boost gets to high it opens letting exhaust gas bypass the turbine wheel and go straight out the exhaust. They have releif valves on the boost side mainly on gassers that are more commonly referred to as blow off or pop off valves
