What Happened To This Engine

Anyone recall what happened to this engine. Seems the guy was having issues getting it started. I'm guessing it bever made it back to the road by the looks of the front end of the engine. Missing was the dampner but they still tried to run the engine. No telling what else was missing. ?Sad ending of another truck possibily..

Hard to tell, sounds bad, but did crank and fire, No balancer, Brave! I would never even try to start an unknown without first inspecting the oil filter for damage and prior history.

Hopefully it exploded and took those guys with it, so they can't ruin another engine from sheer ignorance.
