My brother just brought home a suburban with a 6.2. What type of glow plugs do you guys recommend. I know for a Ford you want to use Beru plugs. Is there a brand that you use for Chevys? I would guess the same issues are encountered with Chevys.

gm plugs are the slow glow units. they don't go bad as often. If they do, it's not the end of the world like a ford. all you have to do is pull an injector to retrieve the broken off glow plug tip;Sweet

Thank you Towcat. I always have to stare at your avatar for a few seconds before continueing. So anything the guy behind the counter gives me should be OK? Do I check them the same way; using a continuity light?

AC delco 60g is the best IMO. The wellman quick heats will burn out fairly quickly if used with extended glows.
