In the process of rebuilding the 6.9 after a snapped crankshaft.
Machining is almost done, heads are completely done, block is getting align honed with new cam bearings and freeze plugs.
Bought a doner engine for the crankshaft, and it was mint. Just had to polish it after maging it.
Priced a cam for it at $500! Yikes, that isn't going to happen.
Where this is a roller cam, I wonder if I could get away with a new set of lifters and running the old cam.
Money is very tight on this project and I can't let it sit for too long as it is my work truck. Driving the hell outta the wifes GMC and she doesn't like it. Neither does the wife! :)
Any comments fellas, hit me with your ideers!

That's what I thought, it is the cam that was in the motor, I could hear a slight lifter tick, but everything else was in order. I'll get new lifters just in case.
Thanks
