i snagged a pump too. 16 injectors, 16 glow plugs. have a good spare turbo pump from a parts truck but now i got two!
Got the rest of my parts, they sent me an extra oil cooler o-ring...and 2 extra t-stat gaskets...
so now i have 3 vacuum pumps (ordered 1), 4 t-stat gaskets (ordered 2), and an extra oil cooler o ring...
now question...which t-stat gasket do i use?
Thanks for posting pics. I also ordered two thermostat gaskets, and got the same two as you, with the 2-passage gasket broken in half. The 1-passage has an inner diameter of 2-1/4 inches, and the other has a diameter of 1-7/8". Some one please tell us which is correct?
Is your thermostat the correct one? I don't know about mine.
I ordered from the UHaul site category of 1994 E-350, because I HAVE a 1994 E-350.
Most of my parts have arrived in torn, crushed boxes with little or no packaging material, which makes me very suspect of the electrical/electronic components.
I ordered a case of oil filters, but received only one. Still have a bunch of parts yet to arrive.
I'm pretty disgusted with what I have received. Tempted to ship it all back and be done with this mess. Clearly, some of the UHaul shipping people in Abilene, TX have no clue about their job, or simply don't care.
I won't be ordering from UHaulParts.com again.
Dave makes a very good point! I'll be the first to admit that I'm less than happy with the condition of what I ordered...now that I have everything, I'll try and call them tomorrow and see how they'll handle it. I was still upset when I made my earlier post and have had a chance to calm down a bit...and, on that note, I'd like to see how things are handled before I decide whether or not to give them my business in the future...I would contact uhaul first to dispute the condition of the items you ordered before calling it quits and shipping it all back. At least give them a chance to right the situation before declaring them a poor business that you won't deal with again.
From my understanding, each shop IS responsible for the level of quality in their products. Some members here received outstanding parts and a few...not that spectacular (myself included). But simply giving Frank Settles a call or sending an email has put in motion the process to get a resolution.
You can try calling their return service at:

Last but not least, contact Frank directly at:

I think you can even PM him now that he is a member of this forum. Good luck and I hope they can do something for ya. Remember, if you don't tell them there is a problem, they aren't gonna know.

You are talking me into it.....my will is fading fast, but I still have not even registered the truck yet!
Seeing this thread and all the parts people are nabbing is really getting my mind thinking..
my truck has 193k on what I think is the original IP.. i'm averaging 15mpg max right now with a small fuel drip on the bottom of the IP and im looking to do anything to get a couple more MPG's and some extra power if i can... would spending 220 on one of these IP's really be worth it? i mean how much of an improvement could it possibly provide? I wish I jumped on the 20% off deal back in january =/

Shipping parts ain’t rocket science, it ain’t even airplane science. It is simple common sense.
If my experience was the exception to the rule, I’d be inclined to call and ask for better parts and better service. AND, I’d have a reasonable expectation of receiving it.
But I am not the exception. This thread alone has several members that have received parts of dubious quality, and packaged so poorly that damage during shipping was quite possible. My friend received unwrapped, individual glow plugs, injectors without any protective caps, GP controllers, and other parts thrown into a beat up Harbor Freight box, with NO packing material. I’m sure the injector tips are damaged, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a GP tip broke off inside his engine. No way would I use any of those parts. My packages so far, have been similar.
I doubt calling Uhaul would result in anything more than shipping my parts back, and getting similar quality parts, in similarly poor packaging, shipped back to me. A lot of aggravation for no real benefit. I'm not going to waste a lot of time on this. If Uhaul can't do proper shipping, then I'll buy from someone else.
The price was nice, but without confidence that the parts are undamaged, they aren’t worth much to me.
When the next batch of parts arrives, then I will make the decision on shipping it back.
