turbo kit on my 6.9...help?

I have a 1984 f250 6.9 idi with a turbo kit.. looking to try to figure out what kit it is... any idea??

Welcome to the forum. I have seen this type before but can't recall what it is. I do recall its an older non wastegated turbo from around the mid 83 to 85 years I think. Typ4 aka Russ will know and tell you where to find parts or he can rebuild it for you. Thats what he's known for around this forum and around the world too. Must be nice to be world known and famous too.

Yeah... she ran away yesterday.. not sure what happened. Just went to start it. Main bearings laying on the ground in a lake of oil... ouch. Fire department showed up

Not a lot to see... just oil everywhere...

Wow.. Thats really sad to hear. Check the throttle on the injection pump. See if its wide open. If it is work back from there to the throttle peddle in the truck till you find the reason. I sure would not use that cable or injection pump on another engine till I found the reason for the run away.

Likely a crankcase full of fuel and the cdr was feeding it. saw this once , not pretty. and Prineville is not that far from me. 170 miles ish.
