Surely a lower cost alternative to a bigger turbo. If it cools so well, then you should get bigger injectors to warm it back up!

I dunno 'bout that......them there whut cha call schwitzers sure are cheap.....~$400 for the DTA466 270-300HP model. :love:

Hey NeverenufHP,

Did the gov springs on Sunday.....

VERY NICE! :) Picked up about 5mph top speed, truck is nicer to drive. I went from a governed 2650 up to 2850.

Does your truck feel like its over-reving or winding out?

I finally got to drive my truck post advance in the timing without the trailer and she feels real nice! I may have to run the screw in 1 thread to limit the smoke a tad.

That's the rpm mine hits and I haven't done the springs yet. 2 clicks for me would get it to 3100, & I need a pyro before that. Gave the part # to my fleet guy, we'll see if he orders it :backoff .

At first it did, but now it feels fine. Actually, it feels better, like it can stretch its' legs a little. ;Sweet

How do you like the timing advance????!!!???? :thumbsup:

So far I've only driven it 2 miles without the trailer behind it and since it always feels so much faster without the trailer I will need more testing to feel the difference un-hooked. With the trailer on I noticed what feels like more low end power

Snow Performance Products got back to me.

Our Stage I NA kit will help with EGT's and HP..On most application we see a 175 to 225 degree drop in EGT's and any where from 25 to 75 HP.

My little 5.9 seemed like it was trying to leap out of the gov. when I initially just turned up the fuel. Now it's like nothing to go to 4200. Not that I'm saying a stock 466 can hit 4k, but I'd say a 3k gov spring kit, fueling enhancements, turbo, and timing would unleash a beast. Come on Mark, I want to tinker more with your truck :Sly

I think Mendocino county has the state's high skills for tinkering with ****. LOL

The truck kind, I don't think there's much to it. Shouldn't take more than 20min. In reality, I'd say 2hrs.
