I can drive a manual pretty good, and i normally take off in second. But when i do so, or even take off in first, the truck kinda shimmy's or jolts or shakes when i take off and dont have the clutch out fully. Once clutch is fully let out, it goes away. I have drove other manuals where i feather the clutch while taking off, and it doesn't shimmy like this. Bad clutch? Bad tranny?

probably has a solid flywheel in it,that is one of the side effects, the dual masses dont do that often

Agree with biggin. Your feeling the slipping of the disk and the flywheel is solid so it's not dampening it like a dual mass.

I personally like the dual mass as long as it is on good shape , there is less noise and less stress on the tranny , however the solid flywheel is cheaper and they also do the job.
