Hey all..
The fuel sender on my 1994 E-350 has gone bad..and I am not having any luck finding a replacement.

Anyone have any pointers on where to find a fuel sender for an 1994 E350 Van..?
(even better if it's from an ambulance)

Or work-arounds to get something to work?

Original Part# F3UZ-9275-A
Revisted Part # F3UZ-9275-BB

Any help is most appreciated.

Thanks!
It looks like they have ones for 22 gallon tanks, I have a 35 gallon tank.
I will be calling them tomorrow, and seeing what I can find out.

I came across Nick Pisca's solution of using an aftermarket unit, with some modification to it..

I will be looking into that as well.

Is it possible to run with out a sending unit?
Aside from the fuel gauge.. will it affect anything else?

Yes, you can without it working. It's just for the gauge.

I don't know if this helps but:

I have looked at them, but what is the OHM rating?

Dunno. It specifically says excluding diesel but they can probably be made to work. I doubt that the gauge itself is any different from gassers, except the text on the face saying diesel fuel

Ford gas senders are something like 16-158 ohms, except for older ones, like pre 1981 or something

Ford diesel senders are something like 8-78 ohms

I replaced the sender boards on mine with gas ones and used Auto meter gas fuel gauges

If I did it again I'd figure out something that uses universal sender ohm ranges which is like 30-233 ohms or something because gauges and senders are way easier to find, though would need to be more customized.
