Been looking at buying a couple trucks and doing some flipping. Found a triton truck for cheap and was wondering how hard it might be to swap in a 7.3???

I don't know on that one. Dad had a 97 Triton Light Duty F-250 (7 lug). It had the 5.4l in it, and it was tight with the 5.4 in there, both front to back, and side to side. Also, they only have a "small" gasser radiator in them with no option for a bigger radiator, if it would actually fit, don't know if you could keep it cool. I don't think the triton even offered the V-10 because i don't think it would fit. So going from a small block that is tight to a big block 7.3 probably isn't going to fit. The 7.3 is somewhat tight in the 99+ SuperDuties..... and that engine compartment was designed to fit the 7.3. I know this isn't on the list, but the 6.0 is even worse for size. I am 6'4" and 350lbs..... that is one of the reasons I had Ron replace the ICP Sensor..... I can't physically get my hand into the location it is on the early 6.0.

The Triton was available in the Super Duty. It's the name of the line of gas engines, rather than of any truck.

Sorry, wasn't thinking about that. I have always heard of the redesigned 97+ F-150's as a Triton, in reference to the body style, I wasn't thinking about the engine name.

Pitcher..... is this an F-250 or F-350 then (a Superduty) with the V-10? If so, then it should fit.....

As long as youre not messing with the f150 or the half breed 250s itll fit but youre gonna need every wire harnes from a donor truck with all the same interior and exterior options.

I belive it's a 2000 250. I've got a E99 drivetrain. Really need all wiring???? Forget that. I just wanted to to drop the 7.3 and sell it.
