Yeah. So check the serial number on your /block/.
If you see it start with "7.3TU2", get the turbo part number.
If it starts with "7.3D" get the non-turbo number... whether or not there is a turbo on the engine!

(my '93 is a "factory turbo" truck... with a non-turbo block, changed out some time ago)

Not really... While I didn't check the block before buying it, I expected that it was a non-turbo block when I'd heard 'replaced'.
Likewise, when they say "it was replaced 60K ago with a newly rebuilt motor" and you see obvious long-term oil cake? It was replaced by a junkyard motor, that's for sure.

But, I only paid $1,950 for it in running and driving condition, and it runs well enough... so I'm happy with it.
(oh, and of course, I still stuck my big IP on it and am getting 250RWHP out of it... haven't blown anything yet)

Yep you got a good deal there, it's just getting harder to find the factory turbo engines around here
