I just spent the last hour reading through their various trucks and adventures. I am VERY impressed! Some of those remote areas they managed to get to, I would never have expected to see a Ford diesel in. Makes you proud to own a tough American iron work-horse!

Their builds also gave me a few ideas for my own truck. :sly

I remember seeing the turtle logo alot when I was a kid, I opened up a recent 4x4 mag and saw the new turtle and decided to look them up.

I was impressed until I got here:

"The problematic stock Carter fuel lift pump has been replaced with a more reliable Airtex pump."

I am on my third airtex in 6 weeks, and 1,000 miles....

I am still chuckling over that.

Lending credibility to my fail not being the airtex.. but something else entirely.

;Sweet I read back through their reports from time to time. That truck was for sale on ExpeditionPortal for around 50K awhile back. I remember reading somewhere that the "Arctic" injector pump is similar to the Military pumps and it has hardened internals :dunno

I think Ford even awarded them with the 1millionth build PSD in their latest truck :sly

holy mother of god thats cold!!!!!!!! :D

they had 80k in the truck but should have started with a large flatbed like mine and then went with fully studded 2x12 walls with real 12" insulation and then 2" blue board out and inside both.........for starters.:D
and then actually inserted the camper inside the real enclosure.
im not sure how they survived it.

What's really awesome is they didn't have to do all that much to the actual truck new lift pump (which i find questionable too) new IP (where you get one of those?) and better fuel seperator/heater. ATS kit. all really doable stuff, and considering the temps ranges it worked in you haveto be proud.

I took the stock Carter fuel pump off of mine after it had 150,000 on it when it went bad. So how un-reliable are they?

I hope they don't plan on cooking with that three burner stove in those temps unless they have heated propane bottles. Propane does not flow at -45 and below.
