DUDE!!! were you holding a gun on the guy to get that for $800? We're you holding one of his kids hostage? That's a great deal.

Buddy of mine cut me a great deal. Has too many projects sitting in his driveway. It needs a little tlc for sure but I drove home from his house which is about 15 miles. Looking forward to getting it back into good shape.

If you landed a 7.3 idi that isnt completely roached out and it actually runs and drives for 800$, then you got a helluva deal. Best ive done is my 94 superduty with 200+ on it, 3/6 tires blown out, doesnt start, had to shift it into and out of gear by pushing and pulling the transmission lever (under the vehicle) for 1800$.

I’m seeing these on marketplace with 300,000 miles and terrible bodies going for 3 or 4 grand around here.
Forgot, I threw in a weed eater that I didn’t use anymore. Probably worth couple hundred. He may have gotten off better than I did on the deal

The interior is a solid 7/10 as well. I’ll try and get some pics of it this weekend

I paid $900 for my 86, was a 6.9 4 speed 4WD extended cab, with some body rust and dents, but a good frame, had a bad injector line and the water pump leaked really really bad.

Truck is now a 7.3 turbo, with 5 speed, and a Dana 60 swap. I have spent thousands on it, and am far from done.

I paid just over $2000 for my 91 F Super Duty service truck, 50,000 original kilometers, ran and drive just fine, needed glowplugs and a new transmission as 5th gear was out. I have done a little more than that as preventative maintenance, but it has been a very good deal.

I also took apart the transmission that came in my 91, and figured out where stuff broke. I will show that in a different thread later…

That’s one thing on mine that has to be addressed. My buddy put in a rebuilt transmission but never got it shifting exactly right. I have the paperwork for transmission. He said he got tired of messing with it. Hoping it’s a wire or sensor or something not too major
