Temperature Gage not working , Little Help Please.

The Temp gage does not register, even when it is in the 90's out. Truck holds water in radiator well. It does not seem to run anywhere near hot, all seems normal. Ideas?

I think it's the ECT there in front of the HPOP.

Or a broken thermostat. That was my issue.
