Taking apart outside mirrors

Does anyone know how to take the outside mirrors apart. I have a 1987 f350. I'm taking them apart because I am going to powder coat the metal housing. I have gotten the glass out but I can't figure out how to get the housing away from the plastic inside. In stumped

Update on how to get the covers off. They are just glued in the corners. I took a little propane burner to heat the glue. They come right off.
