ive got a 90 chevy c 1500 with a 5.7 and i want to put a 6.2 or 6.5 what ever comes my way my question is how hard or how easy that would be to accomplish apperciate the input thank

not hard whatsoever as far as the drop in is concerned.
hard part is finding a good running motor. if you do find one, get the external oil cooler assy at the same time too.
it took me three years to find a good 6.5 turbo motor for the service truck.

im not looking for a turbo motor just a n/a daily driver good on fuel wmo not looking for a peformance just ecomny would the easy thing to do is get a donor truck so i get all the parts hydro boost radiator and other mic stuff

any donor from 83-92 would be a candidate for you. 83-87 trucks are different chassis altogether but the running gear will graft into yours.

ya i know the 83-87 are different but u are rite on the drive train part out here the 83-87's are more plentiful i havent seen a any of the 88-92's around here i just want a 1/2 ton truck diesel that i can DD that gets good fuel milage i dont want a little car i guess ill be looking for a truck for cheep
