Summit Racing Fuel Pump

Has anyone tried the Summit fuel pump that looks like a knock of Holley? I was also wondering would it make more sense to get a fuel pump with an external regulator then the regulator could be mounted right before the fuel filter? Seems like with a regulator and pump combined there might be some drop in pressure from the pump to the filter head?

If I had to guess they are probaly the same fuel pump with a different name. My budy has one of summits brand and I have a holley red and you can not tell a difference in them side by side.

i would regulate at the filter. there can be a signifacant loss of pressure down fuel line if you run a thicker fuel or it gets real cool out. the resistance in the fuel going through the line itself will do this.
