I know nobody mention this but I battled the scrader valve on my old 6.9 for a really long time it had the same symptoms as your truck and I threw money at the problem for months until i finally pulled the valve out and saw there was a tear in the rubber. I pulled a new valve out of a valve stem in the shop and my problems were gone. maynot be your problem but its a cheap fix if it was.
