Just going through a couple of things and ran into this kit. I don't know if anyones seen it before but it looks pretty complete including availability of new e-brake calipers and it's a bolt on. Pricing doesnt seem too bad either.

Looks like it will fit on the old Dana full floating axles too. I REALLY want to do this to atleast one of my trucks and find out how much nicer they are. I only have one vehicle with 4 disk brakes, and its an import rice burner. I want to put rear disks on my 71 RS/SS camaro too but have never got it done, because I've never got that project done either. lol

So about $200+- with all little add ons considered? Not bad. I may have to do that next time I replace the rears. Is there any way to get past the no parking brake thing? That might be a deal breaker since I will soon have a T19(manual)

I installed that kit on my truck last spring. It was easy to install and stops the truck better than drums ever could. Now that I am driving in snow and ice, I really appreciate the stopping power. Check out the following thread:

I think I remember that thread...the no e-brake will be a problem for some, especially with manual trannies and/or heavy loads. Any way to use the factory parking brake or add an aftermarket unit?

The caddy calipers have an e-brake. That is why they cost more.

It would be interesting. I would much rather have the discs, they are much easier to service and it sounds like they stop much better too. My brother has discs all the way around on his Isuzu Trooper. He and I aren't very experienced with brakes and we did all 4 pads in no more than 2 hours.

Like I said, I have 4 wheel disc on my 97 GST Eclipse, and that thing will go from 60-0 in nothing flat! Im serious, it doesnt even have power brakes its so fast stopping. On a road course I had it up to 152mph and didnt realize I had a 90* corner coming up and was darn glad I had my harness on, it went from 152mph to 15mph in like 250 yards. That scared me more than how fast the thing went. lol
4 wheel disks are the way to go, and cross drilled and slotted are even better, but they need directional cooling vents in between the disks to make them work to their maximum potential.

here's some pics of a E450 rear disc setup that went very wrong.......
and a repost of the E350 SRW rear disc.
the E450 is a dana 80 with no rear park brake setup
the E350 is a dana 70 with the rear park setup.
both use the "old style" 8 lug pattern.

Hi in the Cascades, Nearly- Redmond,Oregon
So is there anyway to do rear disc on dually with 16"? Even without E/brake?
I've looked & watched here, there, everywhere & etc. I mostly get idea that it's the ebrake that's the problem for duallys.
Ebrake would have to be on tranny/driveline.
