Steering Column

Today I turned a corner and my steering column locked up and when I forced it to turn it ground up something inside and now is really stiff and hard to turn. Does anyone make a steering column rebuild kit? Thanks.

The dealership will sell you the necessary bearings/races for pretty cheap. It's not too hard...just gotta watch out for the tilt springs when they release :Sly

I helped a buddy do it on his '96 PSD- it's the same column as the older trucks. It took us all of about a hour to rebuild the column, not including removal/installation of the column in the truck.
