I was driving a dirt road this evening and I hit huge rut. I was going to fast to slow down in time and BOOM:eek: I swear the rear end jumped 3ft of the road. Well right after I noticed the speedo was a little optimistic. I came to a complete stop and the needle just barely sits on the stop. I took off again and it's smooth in its motion but it reads about 10mph fast. It's also is making an uneven grinding noise. I haven't done any digging yet but I'll get to it tomorrow. Any ideas were too go? Cable driven speedo by the way.

Pull the speedo cable out of where it plugs into the trans and check the teeth, make sure it is meshing properly. Might not be tracking on the trans side of the gear properly now.
