I replaced the stock valve covers, with the turbo covers that came from Subway..... Also, have the turbo loom basically installed.

I added a Goldenrod water separator and a Donaldson secondary filter using a Wix filter head. Had to make my own bracket and it didn't turn out exactly like I wanted but so far it's working. I kept the stock filter head so I can still have the sensors and Shrader valve.

Pulled it outta the shed to put it into daily driver service' due to snapping a shaft in the d.d. rock-crawler.

If quiznos is the devil, does that make Jared from Subway, a priest?

So ,we are going camping for the unsuperbowl weekend with the wet westies VW club. So I fired up the 4x4, been sitting since october, ole girl fired right up.
Aired up a low tire, ran it out to work to do a complete fluid check, tire check, visual, make sure no catastrophic leaks on trip. Noticed boost was a little lazy, so while under hood airing up the airbags I noticed some oil on my turbo exit elbow, clamp was tight due to bottoming out. Put on a new clamp and gave the others a little more snug.
Man it picked up 3 lbs on the test hill. Moral is, check over the clamps now and then.

Yeah Yeah, I know being a mechanic I know this, but hey, just like cobblers kids, no shoes, you know.

After driving it I have to get the turbo on the dually, the 4x4 with camper is much faster loaded than the dually empty. SAD.

Took off the stock mirrors and fitted these bad boys on to the truck, Then painted them black. Believe I can see around my camper now when I have it on the truck with these mirrors. Kinda liking the look of them on the truck.

Swapped in a new to me IP. Finally an IP that doesn't surge an doesn't leak. One less puddle. Valve covers and front crank seal next.
