there's been chatter of another GTG. I'm probing for serious interest. I'll host the location but I would really like someone to take a turn at the BBQ this time:hail:hail:hail:hail
any suggestions on a good day and a volunteer to step into the BBQ flames?:D

I'm certainly interested....my vote would be for either the 27th/28th of February or sometime in March. I'm definitely not good before February 23rd. Ideally, setting a firm date 2 or more weeks before the day would be good, so I can ensure I'll get the day off work....unless other people would be interested in doing it on a Monday or Tuesday :rotflmao Basically, for me, the more warning, the better. ;Sweet

I'd offer to do the cooking, but I'm not all that good, except for dessert items...if I have time, I'll bake a batch of brownies ;Sweet

FWIW...

I'm always up for a good get-together. I enjoyed the last one, and look forward to the next.

I'd be happy to bring something, and help in any way I can. The one thing you don't want me doing is cooking. I can usually boil water without screwing it up, but otherwise I think the Warden and I are on about the same level.

A couple weeks notice would be a good thing. My evenings are spoken for, Monday through Friday. That's when I work. Any time Saturday or Sunday would be perfect.

I'm no cook but I can put some burn on anything. When I cook its like this..." When its smoken its cooken... When its charcol its done"... You want it rare... Go cut it off the steer.....:sly:rotflmao If that works I'll be a cook... Plus I will be doing a timing clinic...;Really:rolleyes::eek::angel:

so I get a 27th/28th request.
I can do that.
here are the constraints.
on the 27th, Sat, I have to run the shop until 5pm. party starts after 5pm.
on the 28th, Sun, I can open the shop to timing checks etc around 11am and BBQ all day. but the looks of it, I'm stuck again unless typ4 does show up to cook.;Sweet

Seems to me that the 28th would be better than the 27th, just because we'd have more time. I'm okay with either day, but if that's what we're going to go with, it'd be nice to get it set in stone by this weekend so I can submit the time-off request to my boss before I go up to Hippieville on Monday ;Sweet

So, what do others have to say?

As of right now, my calendar is free for Sunday, Feb28.
If I can make it, I'll prepare a pork tenderloin and will gladly man the fire.

Will there be a chance to do minor wrenching too?
-install Powerstroke bumper (wife has put her foot down and refuses to help with anything auto)
-install wheel studs
-check why my E4OD temp gauge isn't registering

how do you go about installing a powerstroke bumper on a bricknose?
the wheel studs on the front or the rear?
have you checked the resistance values on the trans temp sender?

-Aren't those bumpers with the two cutouts from the '94-'97 Powerstrokes?
-Rear stud on the CC SRW
-Don't know where any of the sendors are...just got ebay manuals delivered yesterday, so I'll investigate.

-if you want the cutouts on a bricknose, you need to go plasmodic.:D(plasma)
-that might be do-able depending on my mood.cookoo
-you won't find it in a factory manual due to the fact yours is a "Banks" aftermarket setup. just get a new kit and call it good.

I would vote for Sunday, 28 February, also. As Tim said, it gives us more time.

I'll be busy that morning, going on a nature preserve hike with my daughter, but that's scheduled to end at 1pm. The rest of the day should be free.

I am in! And I will man the BBQ for awhile... it will bring me back to my culinary school days!

I maybe a little sore and loopy because I am getting my wisdom teeth out earlier that week, so I will be "eating" milkshakes!!
