Have a serious clutch issue.

My wife stands 4'11. With the seat all the way forward and her tummy touching the steering wheel she can't push the clutch in far enough.

Ideas? :D

Removeable block on the pedal. Or an adjustable pushrod, adjusted so the clutch disengages as high as possible in the travel, without causing a slip. And you'd have to bypass the starter lockout switch.

if you really wanted to make it so she can drive it SAFELY, you have 2 options as I see it.....

1) auto trans swap
2) replace the seat with a newer height adjustable one

I've seen the block of wood thing done. Just thinking back when I was much younger a friend of mine did that to his 90 or so F250 so his rather short wife could reach the pedals as well

This isnt a clutch problem.....this is a wife problem

Nothing wrong with clutch

Here I thought it was a failed clutch on side or road...not an issue of wifes too damn short....

Shorter steering column???

what year truck? Does the clutch work correctly, resistance right from the top and disengages well before hitting the floor?

86. And no, the clutch is actually fairly low all things considered so I need to look it over. Probably a replacement in the not too distant future I'm thinking. Any tips and tricks as far as that goes cheerfully accepted
