sending unit 84 f250 6.9

Hi guys, I searched,trust me a lot of hours.
Anyone know if sending unit from a f250 gas will work on f250 diesel??
the inlets for the fuel are rotted,cannot be fiber gassed or welded
Ford doesn't carry and all the auto parts stores are trying to sell me fuel pumps!!!!!

I tried LMC/JC whi... they insist NO diesel sending units and can't confirm if same has gas.

My truck been down since last week,I cannnot be the only person this happened to

I did read up swapping parts from another JC W... unit,they have 2 different models

Can you help me please.
PS this is my 1rst diesel,and looks like a 26 y/o truck should have a TWIN for parts

Could you use a sending unit from a newer 7.3 IDI? If so, try rockauto.com

i used one from an 85 460 gasser and modified it

i noticed you needed it 4 months ago do you still need one ,

How did you modify the sending unit? I am have the same issue with my 84 truck

Have to swap the plug from the diesel wiring harness to the gas plug.
