removing tint

Yup gotta agree....have used both....Goof off and Goo Gone....kinda like the Goo Gone better but both work. Gotta use razor blade first though for the tint as you are finding out. Pretty tedious work for sure! :puke:

Hot steam, hands down the best way to remove it.

sometimes the only way

at the custom shop alot of retint jobs we had were on high end bmws and the likes so no harsh chemicals

and the back window with defroster cant be touched with a razor blade but i did all 7 windows in my dually with a razor blade ....fun fun

I have been tinting windows professionally for 17 years.....the best thing I have fopund to use is ammonia if the tint has already turned purple . just our some in a spray bottle.....acetone or anything strong like that will ruin your weatherstripping....goo gone will also work just as well as ammonia. Just make sure when you wipe it off or scrap it off with a razor blade to get all the glue off of the interior. when it dries back out from the goo-gone or ammonia it gets as hard as metal.....good luck
