Hey guys. A few of the lights in my gauge cluster are out so I'm switching to blue LEDs and an gonna paint my needles. Anyways I'm trying to get it out and I got all 4 screws out. My issue is the Steering wheel seems to be too high to get it out, but for some reason I don't have an adjuster, there just an empty slot in the side of the steering column. Any ideas on getting this thing out? Maybe a way to move it without the adjuster? I don't see where I can maybe get a screwdriver in there to move it.

Hang on. Let me go look at mine. If it's a actual tilt column, you should be able to stick something in there.

If I remember correctly, even the non tilt columns have that tang in there where the lever would screw in. So you may just have a non tilt column.
When you go to remove it, twist the bottom out towards the steering wheel.
If you still can't get it, just drop the column. It's like two nuts.

Here's what I'm looking at. I don't see anything to adjust it

Just kinda sucks, apparently was supposed to take like 15 minutes to get the damn thing out, but feels like when I try to do the simple stuff, it doesn't want to be simple.

Yep, non tilt.
It is possible. I just swapped in a tilt column in the last few years.
Oh, pull the gear shift down all the way.

I put it back together for now cause I needed the truck. But I'll try again tomorrow if I can find those nuts to drop the column. I just don't know what I'm getting into, never messed with a steering column, looks complex lul

This is showing 4. Pretty sure mine only had two. Don't forget the shift indicator thing.
