My 95 5.9 parts engine has a 160 pump but the good 5.9 I bought has a 175 pump (it was a stick shift).

Is it the same pump internals with the fuel turned up or is the 175 somehow better? Should I use the 175 for my buildup? Can good power be made with the 175 or is it worth hunting down and paying (a ton Im sure) for a 215?

One other thing, is there a way to tell what year my good 5.9 with the 175 pump is since cummins retagged it when it was remanned in 2000?

Thanks,

-Rob

Actualy read that one earlier today, so the 215 pumps are different internaly. I'm curious as to weather or not my 175 is just a turned up 160 by the factory or if it has some mechanical difference like the 215 does.
