I want to lift the cab. This looks like a good point. It's has several spot welds around it. It's boxed. Feels solid.

if that's your only lift point, it's too far forward. i usually run a recovery strap through the door opening and position it as close to the windshield as possible. still, the firewall is heavy enough to tip it forward. this(your idea) might help give me a little balance but by no means use it as the sole lifting point.

No not the only point. Welding two points on the back of the cab. Going to run a spreader. I know the balance point on the scab is about steering wheel.

I found that out the hard way. Object of this exercise is to be able to lift this thing without touching the finished parts so if I choose to go that route, I can paint it then set it in place.
