Oil useage had gotten up to 1 qt per 1000 miles, pre turbo. I removed the original 170,000 mile cdr valve and replaced it with a used Racor unit during the turbo install. This weekend we made a run to Houston and back with a trailer. Oil useage was 1/4 of the usual.
One last note, during the trip we saw a 91 cents difference in diesel prices between the hightest $3.49 and the lowest $2.58 (Flying J south of Waco).
