Be prepaired when changing a lift pump. Have new Olives on hand and replace them after changing pump, when you wiggle the steel line, old Olives can crack ie: air intrusion. Before cranking, you can remove the "VALVE STEM" from the Schrader valve, crank til all the air is removed, replace valve stem. A Schrader valve is nothing more than a tire valve stem, only it's brass that can be screwed in to the filter housing. To plug off the fuel line, clamp the short rubber hose with vise grips.
