nope, haven't got around to it yet.... still looking at this and that and finding the time! I've been checking the pressure w/ the vulcan guage about every other week,....

hey did you get the twins in?

Got it torn down and about half done now. Waiting on some parts.

FYI:

The NV4500 (5spd) uses 75w90 synthetic gear oil (GL-4)...the GL-4 is needed to prevent corrosion of the synchronizers...brass. However, if you get the right oil, it will state non-corrosive right on it...I have some royal purple that states it's suitable for both GL-4 and GL-5 applications.

The NV5600 (6spd) uses synchromesh...a 5w30 weight gear oil...not motor oil.

New Venture Gear recommends Castrol Syntorq LT, (or Chrysler #4637579). GM sells the same stuff if you can't get it from your parts house. Tortional vibration from the Cummins is a big problem for the NV4500, the mainshaft nut (as mentioned by 24VChevy) rattles loose and progressively destroys the tranny.
