They tack on some fees and **** (prep fees, etc) so count on maybe around $120 give or take. Still, for what you get. Prices on other stuff can be found on the website

Here's all they have in their system

What if you flew out and rented a uhaul to haul it back? None of their business what you cram in it for 3k or so miles. Obviously make it count and grab other stuff also to make the load count

edit: Maybe get a couple cabs if it's in the budget for backstock or resale?

May have a line on something a little closer. Waiting on pics from a place in NC.

That's actually not a bad idea. Have to think about that.

i would leave it alone and beat the hell out of it.
only fix what breaks so you can drive it.
if you want a projct to restore, save your pennys and find a cleaner truck.
my last score, i was paid $3,000 to take. '87 F350 CC LB 4WD 6.9 4 speed
deals are out there. find the right one

Also, look into the feasibility of "Pods" Don't know if you have seen those before. It's a container dropped off at a place, then sent to another destination. Looks like a sea container. The price of a uhaul rental is onpar with their pod offering plus or minus (not factoring in your air fare and such) There are other companies who offer them also

edit: Should say I roughly estimated from las vegas to baltimore maryland. Don't fully know where you live in maryland, so picked something I know!

New plan. I am going to attempt to fix this cab with the understanding that this is a temporary measure...

What do you think?

If it were me, and I already had the cab off, I would fix it all the way. I'd make it bombproof, never rust again, set it and forget it type repair. You're going to invest X amount of time to patch it, in the grand scheme of things it's not THAT much more to do it right.

Of course, I can say that because it's not my time. :D

That was the plan. Problem is that I think it's past the point of making it bomb proof without cutting the entire floor and structure out and starting over. Could I do that I guess so but as you said its a lot of time and money for that matter. Right now time is at a premium so if the price is right on obtaining a clean cab, it just seems logical to at least explore it.

It would be cool to get a pod and pack it full of parts and send it back. Probably overkill for me right now. A guy could probably make a few bucks if he had a list of parts to import to the rust belt.

everyone wants parts cheap, in my experience there is not much money in this.
altho it would be great for parts, just not worth it.

lets just say I did this, id buy a truck for say, 500 bucks.
would take me
3 hours to pick the truck up,
8 hours to strip the truck
10 hours to find buyers
mabe ill get some parts, that I don't really need.
lets just say I make $1500, on the entire truck
sure id make some cash, but more of a pain in the ass than anything

I didn't say it would be easy. More of a public service than anything else.
