so the side with the brace inside the structure will be aghinst the inner fender with a few bolts see bottom pic
the tray has a strap i assume itll be fine for the truck as its a marine setup which on the water itll see more hard use than road driving
the open part of the triangle will bolt to the core support
it will get painted black once installed
and someday will be replaced with better steel and welded but this will work for now
lastly i made up the short cable that will go between batteries but forgot to take pics
let me know what you think

got a nice fit with the header flange to the pipe

turbo inlet flange
its close so i can notch the pipe and add in more steel itll work great

your build is lookin great..;Sweet.... you are going several steps above the gm side mount, it is kind of a restrictive low flowing system they used, it works, but its not great... i was wondering where you ordered your manifold pieces, its a nice thick pipe that will last i think, not cheap like headers... keep up the good work... one more thing, keep your larger housing on the turbo, as the hx-35 is dangerously close to its choke point on a 6.5l, and you are running a couple more cubic inches than that...LOL;Sweet

but weld pipe in scheduel 40
its good stuff plenty strong enough to hold the turbo
thats interesting silverfoot about the 6.5
on a 7.3 the large housing i was told may be too big

one step closer i got the dual battery tray in
well my design sucked so i reworked it a bit but the thing is pretty sturdy
only issue is the hood spring barely rubs the battery as it sits
i zip tied the tray down becasuse i forgot to pic up selftappers ill do that tonight
im problly going to replace the strap with a good ratchet strap
and use a similar bracket to hold up the coolant tank (not done today)
heres pics

ratchet strap will not pass inspections just fyi.

make up a nice peice of bar stock with a hole in each end. go over the tops of the batts with a j bolt on each end. now it is legal. plus no matter how tight u get it, it will rub threw the strap.
