Running a fancy AEM Dryflow filter in my PSD. The mice got in there and took a few bites out of the element. Just a work truck, but still can't have holes in the air filter...

I really need to build a wire mesh cage for it, but is there any way to patch up the small holes? Can't think of what would bond to this filter material...

I have got some poison blocks zip tied up in there now...

Could probably use a little epoxy to fix those spots.
But all in all, just replace it. I wouldn't want to take a chance of the patches coming loose and getting eaten by the turbo.

You could build a box like the s&b air boxes. Just use plexiglass and use fine wire mesh to cover your air inlet side.

Yeah I feel dumb running a $50 filter with no rodent protection. I think I am just gonna wrap the element in "screen door" screen so they can't chew it.

I think the damage is fixable, I will try sewing it off just past the damage so no chunks can get through, then gluing the **** out of the little chew holes.

Sounds risky but you should've seen what was on this truck for an airbox when I got it..........:eek::eek:
