Key switch

A guy that works for me has a 92 model and needs to replace the ignition switch and can't figure out how to remove the keyed part.

He has the column off but need advice on the switch part.

They have a tab on them ... get the replacement ... locate the "lock tab" and work backwards from there ... that's how I got mine out ... just cant remember the specifics.

You have to turn the key in the on position, and there is a little hole on the bottom side of the column where you can stick a paperclip in. Push the tab in and pull out on the ignition switch.
