Junk yard Racor score!

I stumbled upon this for $10!

It definitely a racor filter head and bowl, it appears that it may be a 220R.

It takes R24S filter which aren't that expensive!

Just thought I would share cause I know there are some people on this board who love pics and junk yard scores as much as I do. ;Sweet

I use one of those on My 6.9l plow truck as an auxiliary filter, they are nice. $10 sounds like a steal.

I've got one on my 87 as a replacement for the water separator. Never had a bit of water get past it.

I found one of those exact same units out at Pick-N-Pull several years ago. Still sitting in the garage, in a mostly upright position as it's still full of diesel! :D

The Racor stuff is top notch, if you talk to any marine folks they will sing praises of Racor filtration/water separation. Usually too nice (read expensive) for the 3/4 and 1 ton market, but it's overkill and you are correct the replacement filters are pretty reasonable.
