I had a thought today! (Bad Idea?)

I was helping my friend work on his 6.5 powered Chevy this past weekend, and I had a thought. I was thinging that just maybe the exhaust manifolds off of his engine would bolt to my 6.9. Does anyone have any measurements, or has anyone tried this? The way they have it set up seems alot easier than buying a kit made for my diesel.

I know it sounds stupid but I will try anything at this point and time!

Seems like a long shot, on principle only. However, if they are close enough, you might be able to machine some compatibility. What does the GM manifold have to offer?

For what to run a turbo system from? I suppose anything is possible.

Thats correct! The turbo bolts right to the pass side manifold. Thats the whole reason I was looking at doing it.

its a long shot but measure it and find out. might get lucky and have something untill you can get a real turbo system.
