how can I test it?

hey im looking at a 96 6bt that was in a truck that burnt down. The motor has 60k on it and is for sale for a great price. Is there a way to test the motor before I buy the thing?

heres the deal

you need one hot wire to the fuel shutoff valve to make it run

insure fuel supply
change the oil
insure clean intake air

fire it up and make er run

it has no intercooler, would it be ok to make it fire just for a second?

also im not very familiar with the 12 valve motor. Where is the fuel shutoff valve? what does it look like?

one more question, if the motor is seperated from the tranny how do i get it running?
