It's most likely a hotshot truck that was running a flatbed. They swapped the flatbed onto the new chassis and grabbed whatever bed they could find, that was white, at the salvage yard.

I see commercial yards out west all the time that are running flatbeds with all the original beds stacked up in the field behind their shop. A decent flatbed can survive numerous chassis changes.

I'm sure some joker will pick it up run 100,000 on it and attempt to sell it as "only ran to home depot on the weekend". Fortunately there is car-fax / auto-check etc. now to prevent those types of things.

What re you guys refering to as "hot shots" A truck w a flat bed hauling trailers like a big truck?

Pickups pretending to be semi's and hauling more petite loads.

Everything is used from Pickups, to purpose built pickups, e.g. FL70's

Ok. Thats what i thought. just never heard it refered to as that. I guess i used to be a hot shot hauler then
