I use a BFP of channellocks to take the fans off and on, and always apply some lock tight after i get it on and tighten it very tight, never had one come off

I might be cursing myself b/c i used the loctite and need to get it off again but ill kill a small puppy if the fan plows through my 550 dollar radiator that I just bought 4 months ago.

a good torch will break the lock tight

A Heat Gun is the preferred tool for softening Locktite.

A Heat Gun is the preferred tool for softening Locktite.

I personally prefer a pencil-tip propane torch, keeps the heat concentrated where you want it and so only needs to run for a short time.
